Solvocore directors Wayne & Annecke Van Der Westhuizen had the opportunity to visit the Pentruder factory in Sweden - and it was an experience worth sharing.
Pentruder is a name that carries serious weight in the world of concrete cutting. Founded and based in Tråvad, Sweden, they’ve built a global reputation for manufacturing some of the most precise and powerful wall saws and core drilling systems in the industry. Sweden, known for its engineering excellence, clean design, and attention to detail (think Volvo, IKEA, and world-class manufacturing), is the perfect setting for a company like this to thrive.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine hospitality. The team didn’t just give us a quick walkthrough. They opened up every part of their process to us – from component machining to full assembly lines. We watched the wall saw we’re purchasing come together piece by piece, and got a live demonstration of what it can do once in action.
It’s one thing to look at a product brochure, and something entirely different to stand on the factory floor where that equipment is born. Seeing the scale, the detail, and the craftsmanship first-hand gives you a whole new appreciation for what goes into the tools we work with.

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the people who made this visit possible: Jenny Muda, Marie Peil, Kristoffer Johnsen, Martin Persson, and of course Robin and Tarryn from Demolition & Drilling Equipment. Your time, openness and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed.
We also had a chance to present Solvocore – what we do, why we care about doing it properly, and what sets us apart in the field of specialised concrete services. It was a privilege to share our story with a team that values quality just as much as we do. For now, we’re bringing home one new Pentruder wall saw, but this trip has definitely opened the door for future upgrades. This kind of equipment doesn’t just improve performance – it gives our team better control, better accuracy, and more confidence on site. To everyone who welcomed us: thank you. To our clients: we look forward to putting this machine – and the knowledge we gained – to work for you.
