Recently, we launched a new project at the Midvaal Wastewater Treatment Plant with a hands-on training session designed to build our team’s knowledge and sharpen on-site skills.
Wastewater treatment plants are highly technical environments where precision and
expertise are essential. To ensure our team could operate at the highest level,
we partnered with Penetron Africa and Spraylock Africa (Pty) Ltd.
Their team shared in-depth product knowledge and guided our staff through practical demonstrations. This allowed our team to see the products in action, understand the correct application methods, and immediately practise techniques in a live project environment.
Training days like this are about more than just instruction—they are an opportunity to engage, ask questions, and refine the practical skills that make a real difference on site. Penetron Africa added an extra element of excitement by rewarding correct answers with prizes, while everyone enjoyed ice-cold drinks and a hearty boerie roll for lunch. Small touches like these help keep energy levels high and make learning more memorable.
We were also pleased to have GIBB Engineering, the Department of Water and Sanitation, and Nkateko Group Pty Ltd join us for the training. Their involvement added additional insights and perspectives, reinforcing the collaborative approach needed for successful wastewater projects.
